Cognitive Behavior Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for a range of concerns including anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, and adjustment-related challenges. As a psychologist, I work collaboratively with clients to help them recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. CBT provides practical tools to reduce anxiety, improve mood, face fears, and adapt more confidently to life changes—empowering individuals to regain control and enhance their overall well-being.
Exposure and Response Prevention
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy primarily used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). As a therapist, I guide clients through gradually facing feared thoughts, images, or situations (exposures) while helping them resist the urge to engage in compulsive behaviors (response prevention). This structured process reduces anxiety over time and helps retrain the brain to tolerate uncertainty and discomfort, ultimately leading to greater freedom and improved daily functioning.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a third wave Cognitive Behavior Therapy, is a mindfulness-based, values-driven approach that helps individuals develop psychological flexibility and lead more meaningful lives. As a therapist, I help clients learn to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoid them, while committing to actions that align with their personal values. Through ACT, clients gain tools to reduce the impact of emotional struggles and move toward a life that feels purposeful and authentic.
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a structured, evidence-based approach designed to help individuals recover from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related symptoms. As a therapist, I work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs that have developed as a result of trauma. Through guided exploration and written exercises, CPT helps clients process their experiences, reduce distress, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking—leading to meaningful emotional healing and improved quality of life.
